Just a Quickie...

Here's the pictures from my get-together with Lindi today. We met up at Collective Journey in Redlands and did some shopping... I got a couple things that I'm looking forward to playing with. Then we went to lunch at Macaroni Grill and had some really yummy shrimp and crab pasta... We were both so stuffed that we walked out saying "we're ready for a nap!"

Only a scrapper would understand ;o) Too bad it doesn't come out until after CHA.... I've gotta get on the waiting list!!

So tomorrow I get to go hang out with Lindi up in Redlands again... So exciting. I love ScrapJazz more and more each day. The friendships that I've made with people that are all over this country (and several outside of the U.S.) are amazing.... the bond you can share with a person you've never even met.... It's so cool. Lindi is one of the several Cali girls on SJ, but she's only like an hour or so away from me, so we've had the opportunity to meet in real life, which is so cool. We're going to go have lunch and do some scrap shopping over at Collective Journey. I'd never been to this store before meeting her, and I have to say that this is one of the coolest stores I've ever been to.... it's ginormous! (love my word, lol!) They have a huge selection of all sorts of stuff.... from regular scrap stuff, to stamps (I've never seen such a variety at a scrap store), to inks and pigment powders.... You have to go there if you get the chance, very much worth the drive. Of course, be sure to take lots of cash! ;o)

It's supposed to be a beautiful weekend, so D and I are meeting up with his boss and some of his friends to go on a ride....

My new job is going well.... It's a nice change of pace. Loan processing had become pretty mundane, and it's nice to be doing something completely different and really exercising my brain. It's with an advertising company, and for the moment, I'm doing basic administrative type stuff. But as the business gets up and running, I'll be more involved with HR, Marketing, Business Planning, that kind of stuff. It's cool...

How cool is this?? Jessie posted a link for a map on Google for all the ScrapJazz girlies... now we can see where everyone is, and most of us even have a picture up... So cool! You've gotta check this out... SJ Girls

And, as an update, I'm doing better the last couple of days. As my girl Kris said, it's growing pains. And I'm hoping she's right... I've realized I've been very selfish in our marraige, and now I'm going to try and give back, and let David be who he is, without trying to change him or criticizing him...

Thank you all for the love and support over the last couple of days... It's amazing the people you meet on the web and get to know.... The bond you share and you've never even met. I have to say I'm truly gratefull for all of my wonderful friends on SJ as well as my friends here locally. Love you all!

It's Monday

I start my new job today. Not the best day for me. I've got a lot of stuff going on in my head and in my life right now. Not sure that I'll be blogging much right now... I don't want to go into details, but if you would, could you just say a prayer for me.... I need some serious strength, one that surpases anything I can comprehend. I know that God will walk through this with me, and I really need that right now. I can't do this on my own..... Thank you.

I'm so bummed!

So I went home on my lunch break today (love that I can do that now) and found a notice from FedEx that they attempted delivery of my new iPod.... but they didn't leave it! They've always left the package on the porch, but this time they didn't..... Now I have to wait until Monday. I signed the release form allowing it to be left on the porch this time, but now I have to wait until Monday to play with my new toy. I'm sad :o(

Today's my last day at CW.... starting over at the new place on Monday. I'm excited but nervous all at the same time. Looking forward to the change, but like any normal person, change makes me nervous too. I'm sure it'll be a smooth process... I'll keep you posted!

Real Quick...

Was just going through some pictures on my computer. Took these of Molly the day after New Years. It's been pretty chilly here and she decided to curl up under that blanket all by herself and take a nap. Of course, when I found her, I had to get a couple pictures.... Love this little girl! Can you tell she's the princess? ;o)

Had the day off today!

Went to the doctor's yesterday to find out why I'm still sick... Remember when I came back from Hawaii with the flu? Well, it never really went away... It's been coming and going since October! She put me on some antibiotics and a cough medicine that has codine in it so I can sleep through the night (finally!) And let me tell you something.... that stuff is awesome! Slept so good last night. The moment I hit the pillow, I was out cold until 6:30 this morning. Bad thing is that I forgot to turn the alarm back on and D was late for work... oopsies!

So, I decided to go pick up my gifts for my secret cupid swap through SJ.... got her lots of goodies, can't wait till she opens her package! And of course, had to pick up a couple things for myself! Lookie what I got (amongst other things...)


My lss will be carrying this new book every other month. It's kinda like a card magazine, but it's actually a book and it comes out bi-monthly. It was 14.95 and there's 130 pages of awesome card ideas and designs.... Another thing I'm gonna be hooked on. Oh, and I've been waiting for the new Quote Unquote book too, so I snagged that. I'm feeling some inspiration from these two already! And, the Quote Unquote is all music lyrics. How awesome is that?!?! Lots of great ideas for V-day, which is practically around the corner....

I think I'm going to do an accordion book for D... I might have to arrange a photo session first though. Oh, did I mention that I'm going to sign up for a photography class at the local community college? It starts in March, so I really need to get my butt in gear and enroll.... But I'm so excited. Now I'll finally be able to learn some of those scary manual settings on my digi Rebel!

Alrighty, back to cleaning up my scrap room, something I've been wanting to do for weeks! Laters....

The Weekend's Over...

But it was a good one. I had a great time with my friends over the weekend... we had a girls' sleepover from Saturday to Sunday.... We had good conversation, delicious drinks (apple martini's might become my new fav!) and great pizza.

Sunday afternoon was pretty mellow for me. I came home and had an early dinner with D. It was nice to get some time together, and we had a great time at our favorite restaurant and after dinner was done, we sat and talked for a while.... that's always nice to sit there and digest and talk...

I went down to my mom's today and hung out with her and my brother and his fiance. We went out to lunch and did a bit of shopping (my mom's favorite past-time). I got a beautiful set of martini glasses (for my apple-tini's) and a shaker. Also stopped at Bath and Body Works. Got lots of delicious stuff on sale - body scrub, lotions, hand soaps, and a couple others (most in my favorite smell - Sweet Pea).

Oh, and I got shipment notice of my new toy.... A black 60 gig iPod... the new model, with the video screen! I'm soooooo excited! I have the original mini iPod, but my battery didn't last on that one at all, so D said I could treat myself and get a new one.... This means that I'll be able to load it up with all of my music and hit the gym. I really want to get back into a good routine and get some of this extra weight off and tone up... Yay for me!!

I'd like to post a nice, pretty, frilly banner up there.... Anyone know how? I attempted it myself last time, got one up there, but couldn't figure out how to remove the default one as well... And I think that's when things went haywire and I had to start over.... Kinda nervous about putting a new one up there myself, don't want to screw it up again...

On another note, I'll be leaving here in about 2 hours for my girl's weekend.... I've got a ton of stuff to do:
~round up all the dirty laundry so I can do it tomorrow when I come home
~get the rest of the house picked up
~clean the disaster that I made in my scrap room last night (and I never did get the darn page done!)
~and eat something.... I haven't eaten anything yet and I'm starved!

.... but what am I doing? I'm sitting here blogging, could care less about all the stuff that needs to be done. I think that's my problem.... I have all these things in my head that need to be accomplished, but I'm such a procrastinator that I just put it off and put it off, until it gets soooo crazy and overwhelming that I stress myself out. Hmmm.... Think I need to add that one to my resolutions page (that is, if I ever get it done, ugh!)

Scrapjazz is back up and running! Now if we could just get everyone back on so we can get the boards going again ;o)

Maybe it won't be such a long day after all....

It's Friday!

It's going to be a long day.... It's finally Friday, but there's just not much to do here at work, and ScrapJazz is down, so I have nothing to do to pass the time... Plus, this means that I've only got one more week here - I start at my new job on the 23rd. I can't believe that I'm already talking about the end of January.

Looking forward to the long weekend. We get MLK day off, and I'm going to take Tuesday off as well... I have a couple vacation days saved up (I could either get paid for them or take them, and honestly, since we're so dead, I'd rather have the day off!) It's going to be a girl's weekend.... I'm staying with some friends Saturday night and we're having a sleep-over! I'm definitely looking forward to some quality time with them since we only get to see eachother about once a month since we don't work together anymore. And then I was thinking about going and having lunch with my mom on Monday since we're both off.... We haven't spent any time together, just the two of us in a long time. Plus, there's a lot going on that she doesn't know about and I feel she should.... So I think it's going to be an emotional weekend for me, but it'll be nice to have the love and support of my friends and family right now....

Oh No!

ScrapJazz is going to be down for the night.... They're changing over to a different server, which is good... We'll stop getting those annoying "Server is busy" errors. But what am I supposed to do without SJ tonight? Without all my buddies?

Lets see.... how about the growing pile of laundry, the blown-up house, or the disastrous scrap room? Yeah, I know... all stuff that I should stay on top of, but after a long day, it's the last thing I want to do!

Here we go again...

So this is my third attempt at getting my blog set up.... Some of you may know that I've been experiencing some wierd issues with my blog. When I originally had it set up, it worked just fine.... Then I went in to customize some things and it all went downhill from there. All of a sudden, my blog was not viewable to people using Internet Explorer... So if you happened to visit my page and you got a blank white page, this is why.

I think I've corrected things now. You'll notice that my page is a little different... I've lost any and all posts that I had previously made because I had to literally delete and start all over. Hopefully I've got it up and running this time... If not, then Blogger just has issues because I've changed nothing, I swear!

Looking forward to getting some posts going so my page isn't so blank. ;o)
